Glowing tributes have started pouring in for the late Chief Executive Officer of one of the popular restaurants in Lagos state, late Alhaja Wulamotu Salawu who died on Monday, February 28th, 2022 at the age of 72 as Lagos socialites, top political elites paid their last respect to the industrious woman.
In a statement made on Tuesday by one of the Lagos socialites and business mogul, Chief Adewale Teluwo described the late food magnate who carved a niche for herself especially in the business world as a well-respected woman of honour who worked hard raising her children to a greater height in life.
“No doubt about the fact that Alhaja Wulemotu Salawu has contributed her quota to the well-being of those around her, her community, and other areas of human endearvour. Very hardworking caring and loving woman. May her soul rest in the bosom of her creator. He prayed.
In the same vein, the immediate past chairman of Bariga LCDA, Hon. Omoyele Sulaiman popularly known as ORIS revealed to Somolu News that Mama’s demise remains a huge loss to Somolu/Bariga and by extension to Lagos state as a whole.
He continued, “This is obviously a huge loss to us in Somolu/Bariga. Mama was a wonderful and caring mother not just only to her children but to other people around during her sojourn in life, definitely, she would be remembered for her being a good mother, especially by those who had the opportunity of crossing her part”.
The executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Hon. Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Yeye Shewa of the Ilara Kingdom in her submission described “Iya Charlie” as fondly called by her admirers as a Godly gift to the Salawu family, a blessed woman of substance who also had blessed children who’re all doing great in life.
“Iya Charlie is a source of blessing to everyone who either worked or lived with or around her. She’s a role model to other generations of women coming behind with a commensurable legacy. May Almighty Allah grant her aljanah fridaus.
Similarly, the former Council Manager of Somolu LG and the Secretary, Lagos state Board of Council Managers, Mr. Lai Giwa in his condolence remarks said mama had lived a good and exemplary life worthy of emulation.
“Honestly, I will tell whoever cares to listen that she has come to the world, seen and she has conquered and the most important thing in life is to live a good life which she has done and no doubt about that. May the good Lord grant mama eternal rest”. He stated.
