Girl, 13 declared missing after school hours in Lagos

A JSS 2 student of Voice of God College, Imagbon, Carwash, Ita-Oluwo area of Ikorodu local government, Anuoluwapo Okanlawon has been declared missing on 25th Friday, June 2021 after school hour.

According to her father, Mr. Isiaka Okanlawon, she was said to have splashed her school fee on her birthday and was thereafter punished by her class teacher but feared the same treatment could be met by her father which made her abscond and never returned home since then. All efforts to locate her whereabouts have proved abortive.

In his words, Mr. Isiaka, an Automobile Mechanic, described his daughter as a cool and easygoing girl and has never engaged in such frivolous spending which came as a surprise to him. She’s not a wayward child to be precise.

“It’s really sad and disheartening going through this ugly experience. I’m really surprised by this happening because she has never engaged in such unruly behaviour and I’m still wondering what could have made her behave in such a manner. In fact, I’m really shattered at the moment”.

The troubled father and widower made a passionate plea to whoever comes across her to please report to the police station nearby or call 09066789406.

However, the case has been reported to Ogijo Police station in Ikorodu and some other relevant government agencies in the area and beyond, while families and relatives pray fervently for her safe return.
