First Somolu woman councillor, Chief Mrs Osoba-Coker (JP) for burial February 13th

The remain of first woman councillor in Somolu who was part of the grassroots politics in the Second Republic under the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), Chief Mrs Osoba-Coker (JP) will be committed to mother earth on February 13th 2021 in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

The octogenarian died in the early hours of Sunday 17th January 2021 at the ripe of 80 years.

According to burial arrangements, Service of Song will take place on Thursday 11 February 2021 at Mama’s residence, No. 4, Osho Street, Bus-Stop, Ladi-Lak, Bariga at 5:00 pm

On Friday 12th February 2021, lying-in-state will be held at No. 4, Osho Street, Bus-Stop, Ladi-Lak, Bariga at 7:00 am-8:00 am while the commendation service is scheduled to hold at Christ Anglican Church at 10, Okuta Road, Bariga, Lagos at 9:00 am.

Her body will leave shortly after the commendation service for her home town, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State for Christian Wake-Keep at 14b, Ereko Street, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State at 5:00 pm.

Farewell Service will be held on 13th February 2021 at Cathedral Church of Our Saviour, Italowajoda, Ibadan Road, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State by 10:am prompt after which her remain will be interred.

Meanwhile, the entertainment of guests will take place at Otunba Tunwase Drive, Imodi-Imosan Road, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Chief Mrs. Osoba-Coker (JP) was one of the finest and intelligent political leaders and mobilizers in the Somolu/Bariga community whose contributions to political, peace, and unity cannot be forgotten even after her demise.
