The councilor representing Ward E in Somolu local government area of Lagos State, Hon. Tunde Oladejo has urged youths at the local, state, and the nation at large to be more patriotic for the nation to enjoy some form of peace, stability, and progress in all the facet of human endeavour.
Speaking to Somolu Newspaper recently, he said patriotism is one of the key factors for a nation to attain its full potential.
He adds, “if the youths in our community are not patriotic, there’s a tendency that we may be experiencing a deficiency in some area in the future especially in the leadership which is one of the key factors that brings about prosperity to any nation. If the leadership is deficient, definitely there’ll be nothing to talk about as far as followership is concerned “.
“When our party, All Progressive Congress (APC), under the leadership of Muhammadu Buhari came into power in 2015, one of its campaign promises is engaging the youths through employment and President Buhari is doing everything humanly possible to ensure the youths are gainfully employed with grants to support the SME’s in the country”. he claimed
He, however, urged the youths to be patient and desist from engaging in any social vices that could dent their image and subsequently push them into a dungeon of pain and regret.
Hon. Oladejo used the opportunity to enlighten the populace on the need the patronize the well-equipped primary healthcare center across the eight wards in the Somolu community saying, that the health facilities have been upgraded and the centers are some of the dividends of democracy as enshrined in the agenda of Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ All Progressive Congress (APC) led government.
