The immediate past Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ and the Chief Executive Officer of EqualRight Restaurant and Bar, Hon. Mrs. Omotanwa Salau, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to the former Senior Special Assistant on Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA), Hon. Maryam Owolabi-Bada, on her recent recognition by the Nawair-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria.
Hon. Bada was recently honoured with the prestigious Hajj Award, presented by the Society in acknowledgment of her unwavering dedication to Islamic values, community service, and empowerment initiatives, particularly among women and youth.
In a congratulatory statement, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ described Hon. Bada as “a devoted Islamic faithful who leads a modest, exemplary life worthy of emulation.”
He commended her for her years of selfless service to humanity and her steadfast contributions to religious and social development within the Somolu community and beyond.
“Hon. Maryam Bada has consistently demonstrated humility, integrity, and compassion in all her dealings. Her recognition by the Nawair-ud-Deen Society is well-deserved and serves as an inspiration to other public servants and believers,” Hon. Salawu stated.
Similarly, Hon. Mrs. Omotanwa Salau, CEO of EqualRight Restaurant and Bar, also lauded Hon. Bada for her spiritual commitment and humanitarian efforts. She noted that Bada’s recognition by a respected religious body such as Nawair-ud-Deen further highlights her impactful contributions to the growth of the Muslim community.
“Hon. Bada has always been a beacon of moral strength and religious devotion. Her leadership and philanthropy continue to uplift many lives, especially women striving for self-reliance and empowerment,” Hon. Salau added.
The award ceremony, which drew several dignitaries and religious leaders, celebrated individuals who have made remarkable efforts in promoting Islamic values and fostering social harmony.
