The former Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah, has arrived in Turkey as he closes in on a move to Trabzonspor after several seasons with English Premier League side Liverpool. The Liverpool legend touched down at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport, with the 34-year-old set to travel onwards to the coastal city of Trabzon to continue negotiations over a move.
Salah had been on holiday on the Greek island of Mykonos in recent days, with the forward enjoying a break following his 2026 FIFA World Cup involvement with Egypt.
Trabzonspor are hopeful of an agreement over a two-year deal with former Liverpool forward Mo Salah. The Turkish club’s rivals Besiktas were understood to be the Egyptian’s first choice, but talks stalled.
Salah was pictured on the jet wearing a Trabzonspor shirt, featuring his name and the number 61 – which is regularly used as a symbol of the city and the club.

Playing as a forward for Liverpool FC and the Egypt national team, he has won multiple awards, including Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.
