2027:Somolu/Bariga Youth Vanguard, others, throw weight behind AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’

In a significant political development within the Somolu/Bariga axis of Lagos State, the Somolu/Bariga Youth Vanguard, alongside other youth-driven groups, has openly declared its support for the Federal House of Representatives aspiration of Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’.

The endorsement, described by observers as a strategic grassroots alignment, underscores the growing influence of youth participation in local politics and decision-making processes. The group, known for its vibrant engagement in community development and youth advocacy, stated that its decision was borne out of careful consideration of Dullar’s track record in public service and his commitment to grassroots empowerment.

Speaking on behalf of the group, representatives of Somolu/Bariga Youth Vanguard emphasised that Hon. Salawu has consistently demonstrated leadership, particularly during his tenure as the former Chairman of Somolu Local Government.

According to them, his administration was marked by impactful initiatives in youth empowerment, infrastructural development, and social welfare.

“We have observed his leadership style over the years, and we are convinced that he possesses the competence, experience, and passion required to represent the good people of Somolu/Bariga at the National Assembly,” a spokesperson of the group noted.

The group further highlighted that Dullar’s accessibility and responsiveness to the needs of the people set him apart as a candidate who truly understands the challenges facing the constituency. They expressed confidence that his emergence would translate into effective representation and accelerated development for the area.

Other youth organisations and community stakeholders who aligned with the endorsement echoed similar sentiments, stressing the importance of continuity in progressive governance and the need to support candidates with proven records.

Political analysts within the locality suggest that this endorsement could significantly boost Dullar’s chances, particularly among young voters who constitute a substantial portion of the electorate in the constituency.

Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar,’ while reacting to the endorsement, expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him. He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation, promising to prioritise youth development, job creation, and improved social infrastructure if elected.

The endorsement by Somolu/Bariga Youth Vanguard and allied groups is expected to energise Dullar’s campaign further as the race for the Federal House of Representatives seat gathers momentum.
