During the visit, the team conducted a thorough inspection of key facilities and projects across the local government. Mr Sholesi expressed his satisfaction with the standard and quality of infrastructure, particularly describing the council’s edifice as a remarkable testament to purposeful leadership and prudent management.
He noted that the structures and ongoing initiatives clearly reflect the commitment of the local government administration to delivering good governance and improving the welfare of the people.
“The infrastructure we have seen today is not only commendable but also a clear confirmation that the leadership of Somolu Local Government is dedicated to sustainable development and service delivery,” Mr Sholesi stated.
The monitoring team further encouraged the council to sustain the momentum and continue prioritising projects that have a direct impact on the lives of residents.
In his vote of thanks, the Council Manager, Mr Abiodun Babington, speaking on behalf of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, appreciated the monitoring team for their visit and constructive engagement.
He assured the team that the council would carefully consider their observations and implement relevant suggestions to further enhance service delivery and development within the local government.
The visit was attended by Mr Hakeem Oluwa, Mr Adewale Olusegun, Mr Ajasa John, Mr Abolade Akindele, Mr Aribidesi Lukman and Mr Paul Agoi, who were warmly received by the Management team of Somolu Local Government, ably led by the Council Manager, Mr Abiodun Babington, alongside other key officials of the local government.
