The Somolu residence of Ijebu-born business mogul, Chief Dewale Teluwo, was a sight to behold as he hosted an elaborate Christmas party that attracted relatives, friends and top business associates from within and outside Lagos.
The well-attended end-of-year celebration, held in a warm and serene atmosphere, underscored Chief Teluwo’s reputation as a respected community figure and successful businessman whose relationships cut across social and professional divides.
Guests began arriving early, greeted by festive decorations that reflected the spirit of Christmas. The venue soon came alive with cheerful music, laughter and lively conversations as attendees exchanged pleasantries and goodwill messages in celebration of the season.
Family members of the host were on hand to receive guests, while close friends and business associates described the gathering as an opportunity to reconnect, strengthen bonds and reflect on the outgoing year. Several guests commended Chief Teluwo for consistently using the festive season to promote unity, love and togetherness.
Speaking after the event, one of Chief Dewale Teluwo’s friends and Personal Assistant, Alhaji Ibrahim Surajudeen, commended Chief Teluwo for keeping the legacy left by Madam Felicia Teluwo alive, which he said was a good legacy worthy of emulating.
“I’m sure this is what Mama has been doing during her lifetime and continued by Chief Teluwo, which I see as a good platform for family, friends and neighbours to come together to wine and dine under the same roof irrespective of their status and colours”.
Similarly, Mrs Abimbola Teluwo, one of the wives, described the Christmas party as a brainchild of her mother-in-law of blessed memory, Mrs Felicia Okuneye Teluwo, who saw the need to show love to young and old in the community in celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, which Chief Dewale Teluwo picked up.
“As human beings, we need to extend love to others, we need to give to the less privileged. We know quite well that there are families who may not have food to eat at home, and by extending love to them by celebrating with them, they are sure of getting something to eat and appreciate today, and they’ll never forget”. She stated.
In the same vein, Mrs Joy Teluwo, in her remarks, said the Xmas party celebration remains part of the activities the family look forward to celebrating with young and old, family and friends, to wine and dine like family to further keep the legacy intact and remain impactful in all senses.
“This period reminds us of the importance of love, peace and sharing. This is the season we always come together to eat, dance, laugh as a way enjoying ourselves and to the glory of God, the Xmas party celebration has remain a milestone in the family”. “Everyone around knows when it’s Xmas party, Chief Teluwo is always open for them come and eat and drink, so it’s a joy for to see going home with smiles on their faces”.
The celebration featured a rich array of Nigerian delicacies, complemented by assorted drinks, as guests were lavishly entertained. Musical performances and light-hearted interactions for the children added colour to the evening, keeping the atmosphere lively well into the night.
The Christmas party once again reaffirmed Chief Dewale Teluwo’s standing as a bridge-builder and community-oriented leader, whose home remains a meeting point for meaningful relationships during festive periods.
