The high-level meeting, held at the Elediye Secretariat in Somolu, brought together key political stakeholders under the leadership of Apostle Peter Oyewusi, head of the Apex Leaders’ forum. The gathering served as both an endorsement platform and a reaffirmation of the party’s internal unity and strength.

Among the top dignitaries in attendance was the current Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, fondly known as ‘Dullar’, whose presence underscored the spirit of continuity and mentorship within the APC fold.

Also in attendance was Hon. Olorogun Gbolahan Bago-Stowe, the immediate past council chairman, whose legacy in grassroots development still resonates in the community. His presence signified a united front within the APC and support for the new leadership duo.

The APC Women Leaders’ forum, led by Hon. Mrs. Abosede Ogunlaja, as well as the Somolu party chairman, Hon. Yomi Olubamido, were vocal in their support. They emphasized the importance of the Apex Leadership in maintaining party discipline, strategy, and cohesion.

Other respected political figures such as Alhaji Fatai Bakare, Hon. Ademola Olisa-Adefalujo, Hon. Babatunde Olaoluwa, Hon. Mike Oikeh, and Deacon Femi Taiwo also graced the occasion. Their collective wisdom and counsel provided strong encouragement to the incoming leadership team.

The meeting culminated in a symbolic flag presentation by Hon. Ashimi and Hon. Ojomu, signifying their official unveiling and shared commitment to steering Somolu’s affairs under the APC’s progressive vision.

As the July 12 election date approaches, the APC in Somolu appears more united than ever, signaling a formidable front heading into the polls.
