Somolu CDC delegation inspects Dullar’s projects, awards him for his exemplary leadership

In a move to assess the impact of government interventions at the grassroots level, the Somolu Community Development Committee (CDC) recently embarked on an inspection tour of various completed projects executed by the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar.’

Led by its Chairman, Alhaji Tajudeen Tella, the CDC delegation visited key infrastructural developments across the community, evaluating their quality and significance to residents. During the tour, the team commended Hon. Salawu for his commitment to improving the standard of living in Somolu through strategic developmental initiatives.

Alhaji Tella, speaking on behalf of the CDC, lauded the council boss for his relentless efforts in upgrading roads, schools, healthcare facilities, and other critical infrastructures. He noted that the projects inspected reflect the chairman’s vision for a more prosperous and sustainable community.

“As community leaders, we have a duty to monitor and support government efforts at the grassroots. What we have seen today is commendable, and we appreciate Hon. Salawu for his dedication to the development of Somolu. His projects have positively impacted our people, and we encourage him to continue this good work,” Tella remarked.

Some of the completed projects inspected include Olaleye Ultra-Modern Market, Street lights, completed roads like Isaac John Street, Fakunle Street, Oyebajo Street,  Ajose Street, Wright Memorial Public Health facility, rthe new Somolu Administrative complex, Police Station, and Fire station to mention but few.

However, the team visited Apostle Peter Oyewusi, Hon. Ademola Olisa, and Alhaji Fatai Bakare, who all applauded Hon. Dullar’s Infrastructural development legacy in the community, noting that it was indeed a job well done.

Following the inspection, the CDC team presented Hon. Salawu with an award of exemplary leadership, recognizing his outstanding contributions to community growth. In his response, the council chairman expressed gratitude for the honor, stating that the recognition would further inspire his administration to do more for the people.

“This award is not just for me but for the entire leadership of Somolu Local Government. It is a call to continue delivering people-oriented projects. Our focus remains on infrastructure, education, and welfare to ensure that Somolu continues to progress,” Salawu stated.

The inspection tour and award presentation reinforced the synergy between the local government and community stakeholders in ensuring accountable and impactful governance. Residents also expressed their appreciation, urging the council chairman to sustain his developmental strides.
