As tributes and condolences still rolling-in over the shocking death of the philanthropic veteran politician, Senator Sikirulahi Adebayo Osinowo who died on Monday at a Lagos hospital, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, has described the late Senator as a political rallying point who has an extraordinary believe in Allah.
The Mayor of Somolu, the Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat (Deputy Governor), Alhaji Babatunde Balogun (Lagos State APC Chairman) and other state chiefs were on a condolence visit to the Ogudu residence of the late Lagos East Senator Adebayo Osinowo.
Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu while speaking about his late political leader and mentor after filing the condolence register, “the Mayor” said Senator Osinowo was a special gift to Nigerian as a whole but Allah took away the generous politician, he further said “Pepperito was a leader, a mentor, a scholar, a father and a political benefactor to many leaders as his believe in Allah was unshaken even to at the point of death”, Dullar said.
According to the Somolu Local Government helmsman, Senator Osinowo would forever be missed by Lagosians, and even at the floor of the Senate where he spent a year stabilizing the National Assembly and unifying the legislators across political lines. He further said it is only Allah that can give Pepperito’s associates the fortitude to bear the loss.
Dullar, as fondly called by many, said families and political associates of Senator Adebayo Osinowo should take solace in Allah as He is the giver and taker of lives. And that “What was needed for Pepperito and his family at this crucial moment is our prayers and only prayers as Allah is sufficient for us all and we should not forget Alhaja Osinowo and her children in our prayers too”, the Mayor of Somolu said
