As political activities gain momentum ahead of the 2025 local government elections in Lagos State, a renowned hotelier and grassroots politician, Hon. Folarin Olubiyi, popularly known as “Coded,” has declared his intention to contest for a councillorship position at the ward level in Somolu.
In a bid to support the educational aspirations of young students in his community, Olubiyi has rolled out free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for indigent students who are eager to further their academic careers but face financial constraints.
This initiative, according to the CEO of Coded Hotel and Suite, is part of his commitment to empowering the youth in Ijebutedo through education and ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their access to higher learning.
Speaking during his declaration, Hon. Olubiyi emphasized the importance of youth development and education as key pillars of his political ambition. He noted that beyond seeking office, his primary goal is to bring positive change to Ijebutedo Ward C by implementing impactful policies and programs that uplift residents.
“Education is the bedrock of any progressive society, and I strongly believe that every child, regardless of background, deserves a chance to pursue their academic dreams. By providing these JAMB forms, we are allowing our young ones to take a step closer to securing a better future,” he stated.
The gesture has been widely applauded by community members, stakeholders, and beneficiaries, who described it as a commendable act of service to humanity. Many students expressed their gratitude, noting that the financial burden of purchasing JAMB forms had been lifted off their shoulders.
