As a mark of honour for the departed soul, the family of the late Dr. Chris Bunmi Akinwale is putting things together to host the first anniversary since the noble and respected man of honour, Dr. Chris Bunmi Akinwale
answered the call to glory.
According to a reliable source close to the family who revealed to Somolu News, efforts are in top gear not only to host his first anniversary but also to celebrate his posthumous 50th Birthday and launch a foundation in his name.
The event scheduled for 9th June 2024 at the prestigious AMEN Event Center, Abesan Estate will have dignitaries from the far and near present which include his friends and colleagues with whom he shared fun and memories before the cold hands of death snatched him untimely.
Dr. Chris Bunmi Akinwale died on the 7th of June, 2023 at the age of 49, and was committed to Mother Earth a week later. An Emergency/Accident Unit of Somolu General Hospital was built at the request of the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Mrs. Claudia Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and named after him as a mark of honour.
Until his death, he was one the dedicated medical personnel of the Somolu General Hospital, Durosinmi, Somolu, Lagos and a core member of Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat (BOSKOH), a medical outreach in the state where he served meritoriously for almost two decades and won several awards for his effort which has advertently earned him more respect and dignity among his colleagues and other medical personnel.
Dr. Chris Bunmi Akinwale will no doubt, be missed by the loved ones and colleagues he left behind.
