The Executive Chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ has yet again doled out N20,000 to 1000 beneficiaries to fulfill his promise to his constituents a few weeks ago.
The successful second phase of the N20m cash intervention which took place at the Old local government secretariat on Monday 22nd April 2024 he claimed aims to alleviate the hardships faced by the people of Somolu and address the socio-economic challenges within the community.
Hon.Dullar in his remarks further emphasized that the welfare of his constituents remains a top priority for his administration, stressing that initiatives like this not only alleviate immediate financial burdens but also foster community engagement and promote inclusive governance.
Speaking to Somolu News shortly after the event, the immediate past chairman of the council, Hon. Olorogun Gbolahan Bagostowe commended the council chairman, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ for alleviating the suffering of the people under his watch through the cash intervention initiative.
“I sincerely want to commend Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ for this initiative because this cash intervention initiative will go a long way in bringing succour to our people and lessen the socioeconomic challenges they have been facing recently”.
In the same vein, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Somolu chapter, Apostle Gabriel Israel in his remarks applauded the council chairman, Hon. ‘Dullar’ for the wonderful initiative. At the same time, he advised the beneficiaries to make good use of it.
“The chairman is indeed doing a wonderful job of initiating the cash palliative to cushion the effect of hardship in the recent time. I must commend him for this while I will also advise the beneficiaries to make use of the financial incentive wisely”.
Meanwhile, the previous disbursement of a similar amount to 1000 Somolu indigents, just over two weeks ago has garnered widespread commendation from the populace underscoring the belief that such initiatives not only contribute to socio-economic advancement but also foster unity and harmony between the government and its citizens.
