Lagos Political stalwart, Ade Adebambo, siblings celebrate mother’s 80th birthday anniversary in grand style

Ogunbadejo residence of one of the top political icons in Somolu Local Government area of the state, Hon. Ade Adebambo was a cynosure of all eyes as his siblings, family, friends, political associates, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate their matriarch; Mrs. Olaoluwa Adebambo who clocked 80 years on 4th March, 2024.

The elated and smart celebrant who adorned a purple attire with the same colourful leather slippers was full of life as she welcomed her guests who came from far and near with radiating smiles that indicated her well-being as sound and healthy.

Although, it was a low-key birthday ceremony that attracted crème-de-la-crème of the society where they wine and dine in a joyous mood coupled with ‘Owambe Entertainment grooves’ that kept some of the guests on their toes while others were seen nodding their heads to the lyrics of the music which lasted for many hours.

According to the eldest son of the celebrant and loyal aide of the Executive Chairman of the Somolu Local Government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’, Hon. Ade Adebambo described his mother as an epitome of womanhood, loving, caring, disciplinarian, and a committed Christian faithful who worship God wholeheartedly without leaving her family her behind.

“First and foremost, I want to thank God for the life of my mother, the celebrant as she celebrates her 80th anniversary on this planet called Earth today. It’s not an easy task reaching the age of 80; the challenges of life she has faced as a mother and wife to her husband who happens to be our father. She must have gone through a lot to get to this age. She deserved to be celebrated”.

“What about what she went through taking care of myself and my siblings; in the rain and sunshine talk less of the days she would go to bed without food in her stomach. She has been there for me and my siblings for years and she will always be my role model, and my Chief Adviser any day, anytime”.

Similarly, the former Somolu Bariga PDP Chairman and the CEO of Jackal Ventures, Hon. Niyi Osibemekun popularly known as ‘Jackal’ also described Mama as a very humble woman with the right attitude and respected by young and old.

He went further, “I practically grew up in her hand and in all my years of knowing her, I’ve never seen her argue or fight with anyone. She’s very quiet, humble, and nice to those around her. I pray that she continues to enjoy this life and that her children continue to support her when and where necessary.

The Somolu-born grassroots politician in his closing remarks enjoined the young generation of women to emulate Mama; remain humble and be caring stating that a woman’s peace depends on her attitude and ability to keep her home, especially with her husband.

Guests present at the birthday ceremony include the former Somolu/Bariga PDP Chairman and the CEO of Jackal ventures; Hon. Niyi Osibemekun (Jackal), the Special Adviser to Somolu Council Chairman on Health; Hon. Oluyinka Koya-Sodipe, Special Assistant to Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Somolu Constituency I, Hon. Abiodun Orekoya on Political Matter; Hon. Adewale Seriki, the CDA Chairman, Abiodun/Abimbola, Hon. Tosin Osinowo, the SSA to Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ on WAPA; Hon. Mrs. Maryam Owolabi-Bada not leaving out other guests numerous to mention.
