Jubilation rocks the streets as they resume work yesterday to complete the Bariga-Akoka road project.
Recently, a concerned group of Bariga stormed the constituency office of Hon. Samuel Olufemi Apata (a.k.a SOLUTION), Member, Lagos State House Of Assembly, Somolu 2, and the Chairman House Committee On Procurement to appreciate his coherent legislative intervention over the abandoned road project.
According to their leader, Comrade Olaorebikan Iyanda, a resident of the Akoka Community who said every member of his group and the entire Akoka Community including the students, market men, and women as well as the commercial bus operators from far and near distances were so delighted and humbly thrilled to see the contractor working to complete the road as a result of the democratic intervention of a lucid thinker and the representative of the Constituency (Hon. Apata) who presented the issue before the State Assembly during the preliminary sitting a few weeks ago.
Comrade Iyanda also hailed the State Legislators for their political will to serve the good people of Lagos State wholeheartedly irrespective of their tribes and their religious differences. He gave kudos to Hon. Desmond Elliot, the Chairman House Committee on Works, and his Committee members for inspecting the road along with scores of political machinery.
He stressed further to appreciate the Lagos State Government for taking a decisive step to fast-track the completion of the road project without any further delay.
