The ALGON President and Executive Chairman of Bariga Local Development Area of the state, Hon. Alabi Kolade David has reiterated his commitment towards bridging the gap between dream and reality through the provision of qualitative education that will match the standard of some highly rated schools like Grace Schools, Gbagada, Pampers, Ikoyi, British Int’l for the people in his constituency.
Alabi made this submission during the presentation of the 2024 Budget of Consolidation stating that efforts are in top gear to ensure all the electoral promises come to reality, especially in the area of education, road infrastructure, and good health delivery system.
He went further, “I’m always amazed and speechless when my friends approach me for assistance for huge amounts of money for school fees ranging from N1.2m and sometimes N3m per term and we have resources here in Bariga where we can turn the table around and get the needed result. It’s just a matter of upgrading our schools standard that will compete favourably with Grace and some other top-rated schools in Lagos”.
“When we have well-equipped schools with pavilion, sick bay, air conditioner classrooms, well-remunerated staffs, coupled with good administration which I believe will make the environment conducive for learning, every other thing will fall into places without any hitches. We have 30 primary schools and out of that 30, about 15-18 schools will be upgraded and by the grace of God, we’ll achieve it”.
However, the Chairman of Conference 57 has promised to deliver 1.2 km Olorunkemi Street soon while some other important projects to be embarked on in 2024 have been earmarked which include more road infrastructure, the building of new Public Health Centers (PHC), and upgrading the existing ones in all the 8 wards of the local government.
