NANS congratulates newly promoted AIG, Idowu Omohunwa

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Southwest Zone D, has sent a wordy congratulatory message to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police,  Mr. Idowu Omohunwa who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) by the Nigeria Police Service Commission (PSC).

According to a Press statement made available to Somolu News and signed by the Secretary-General of NANS Southwest Zone D, Comrade Sanni Sulaimon Olamide claimed that the promotion was a well-deserved one and came at a pivotal moment when the country needed to promote peace and stability within our campuses, outside campuses, and the nation at large

The statement read in part, “On behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Southwest Zone D, I would like to convey my warmest congratulations to you on your recent appointment as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG)”.

“Your promotion comes at a pivotal moment in a country that is facing increasing uncertainties and unprecedented security challenges. I have the strong conviction that your vast experiences, leadership, expertise, and dedication will undoubtedly strengthen our nation’s security capabilities and will continue to navigate through the complexities of insecurity successfully as the Assistant Inspector General (AIG)”.

“The commitment and leadership you’ve shown over the months as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has undoubtedly played a vital role in stemming corruption and insecurity in Lagos State. The National Association of Nigerian Students looks forward to working closely and strategically with your office to further strengthen our relationship in fighting crime and as well as to promote peace and stability within our campuses, outside campuses, and the nation at large”.

“Please accept, the assurances of my highest consideration. Wish you every success and professional fulfillment in your new role”.
