8 Days Fidau Prayer: Dullar, Orekoya others pay tribute to late Gbenga Afolabi (Tiger)

The Executive Chairman of the Somolu local government, Hon . AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ has paid a glowing tribute to the late Olugbenga Afolabi (Tiger) who died in September 2023 at the age of 53.

The council chairman who prayed for the repose soul of ‘Gbenga Tiger’ described the death as a shocking and devastating blow to the family and All Progressive Congress (APC) adding that the deceased was a committed member of the ruling party who extensively to achieve the success at the poll.

Hon. Dullar in his admonishment reminded those in attendance that death is imminent and that no one will be spared when it comes irrespective of one’s age, colour, position, or race.

Orekoya who was represented by Hon. Yinka-Sodipe said the untimely demise of the ‘Gbenga Tiger’ no doubt has left a vacuum in the Somolu APC, describing him as a heat mobilizer of note whose contribution to the development of Somolu APC can never be underestimated.

The top APC stalwarts, however, prayed to God to grant his soul eternal rest and forgive his shortcomings while on earth with the extension for the family to bear the great and irreparable loss.

Present at the fidau prayer session include family members, political office holders, friends, and sympathizers who trooped in large numbers to pray and seek forgiveness for the deceased.

Meanwhile, family members of the deceased, neighbours and top political stalwarts, and members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) were all present during the fidua prayer session for the late APC member.

The deceased is survived by his wife, children, brothers, sisters, and aged parents.
