Why Sanwo-Olu deserves to be re-elected

Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu has done better in terms of harnessing the human resources of ordinary citizens. We see this in the prompt backlog payments of arrears meant for retirees. Such backlogs which amount to the tune of over eleven (11) billion Naira constitute a sad narrative of how governments in this part of the world treat those who gave a good part of their lives in service to their various States or the nation. These were immediately tackled by the pragmatic welfarist in Mr. Sanwo-Olu, resulting in their clearance.
Again, the establishment of the over twenty-five (25) billion Naira Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, a fund meant to tackle the menace of unemployment in the State, has so far provided loans worth more than five (5) billion Naira to more than eight thousand (8,000) persons since inception and helped create more than eleven thousand (11,000) jobs.
Now, this is not all, for while the employment fund represents a plank of Sanwo-Olu’s thinking, the launching of entrepreneurial and employability training programme for graduates of the various tertiary institutions owned by the State was kick-started. This other plank ensures that these graduates from any tertiary institution in Lagos have the requisite knowledge and skills required for suitable employment upon leaving school and has had more than two thousand, five hundred (2,500) final-year students trained since 2020.
He did all these to fulfill the promise that he made during his campaign to provide Job opportunities to unemployed people and created enabling environment for our economy and welfarism to thrive in Lagos State.
So, as stakeholders, I urge us all, to be tied with the Rising Greater Lagos, and come out massively on Saturday, March 11, 2023, to vote and re-elect, Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu and his running mate, Engineer Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, to continue to take our dear State forward and upward, to a level we will be proud of.
