A Lagos senior civil servant in the Ministry of Education, Alhaja Mrs. Bola Sodiq was reported to have escaped death by whisk in an accident involving Toyota Lexus 330 edition Jeep with Registration number KSF 61 ER on Tuesday 13th January 2023 at Bolaji-Omupo, Somolu, Lagos at about 7 am in the morning right inside her building.

According to an eyewitness account, the driver (a woman) of the said Jeep was trying to find her way out of a street nearby when she lost control and crashed into a Mitsubishi saloon car parked in front of a building with the Saloon car ramming into the building and damaging a Pharmacy store in the process.
Narrating the incident to Somolu News Correspondent, Alhaja Sodiq said she was about to have her early morning bath, preparing to go to work when she was informed about the accident, she had to rush down to the scene of the accident only for her to see her car inside the pharmacy store breaking the barrier right into the store which came as a surprise to her.
She went further, “When I saw the car in the building, I was shocked to the marrow. In fact, I won’t stop praising His Name because He’s truly worthy to be praised. I thank God for His mercy upon me and my family because I usually do a routine check on my car before going to work even though the car has been there for a long time but will not go out without starting it to keep the battery and every other thing in good shape but the God that’ll save me delayed my daily routine and this is my story”. She stated
“I can’t stop imagining what would have happened to me either in or around the car or even in the pharmacy store when the incident happened with the level of damages seen here.” the senior teacher exclaimed with both hands on her chest.
The driver of the vehicle blamed the incident on her inability to quickly apply the brake before crashing the vehicle into a parked car in front of the building.
Meanwhile, passersby, family, and friends not leaving out the neighbours have been thronging her house to sympathize and rejoice with her over the incident. While some see this incident as something that could happen to anyone at any point in time, some see this as the handwork of evil people.
However, no injury was recorded but goods worth thousands of Naira were damaged while the case had been reported at the Alade Police Station for further investigation.
