The Sekumade of Ipakodo and the only king in Ikorodu West; HRM Oba Aremu Shotonwa has given his blessing to the 4th executive of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ikorodu West. The king emphasised the importance of youths in nation-building. Hence, the need for Royal blessing for the fourth executive of the council to succeed in office.
The royal father believed that the kind of visit of the council is one very rare since his ascension of the throne, an act he described as a ray of hope and a new dawn in the youth governance in the LCDA. He enjoined the executive not to be far from his palace for continued guidance, support and blessings. He prayed for the success of the 4th administration while suing for the unity of purpose and youth-friendly policies. He also enjoined the leadership to embark on projects that will dissuade youths from social vices.
The council visited the royal father in a bid to get his blessing and to formally introduce and familiarize its new executive with the royal father.
The visitation is in compliance with the work plan of the council for July and in an effort of the council to carry all stakeholders along in its programs.
The council expressed satisfaction with the warm reception of the royal father while praying that his reign be long.
