It was a sight to behold on Saturday 27th August 2022 as family members, friends, and political associates of Hon. Tajudeen AbdulRasaq a.k.a Baba Oja; (SSA on Markets to Somolu Council Chairman, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’) gave out his daughter, Mosurat in marriage to her longtime friend and husband, Yusuff Bada at a crowd pulling Nikkai ceremony.
The Finicky event center was filled to its capacity with creme-la-creme of the Somolu community present in their colouful attires in honour of the newest couple in town. One need not to be told whose wedding it was as a huge banner of the couple welcomed all the guests at the entrance of the venue.
…And the traditional wedding begins.
The Alaga Iduro and Alaga Ijoko were on top of their game as they ushered in the parents of the couple to their reserved seats as the guests waited for the arrival of the groom and his bride sequentially.
It was amidst pomp and pageantry that the two love birds publicly confessed their love for each other and took a bold step of committing their future into the hands of Allah as husband and wife.
The Master of the Ceremony, Ladega did not hesitate to put smiles on the faces of the guests as he kept them falling on one another with laughter in an exhibition of the stuff he was made of thereby making the event a memorable one. The wedding ceremony no doubt was one of the best events in recent times considering the way it was organized.
Some of the guests present at the auspicious wedding ceremony include the Executive Chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’, the Vice-Chairman, Hon. Kule Ekiyemi, the leader of the House, Hon. Yomi Oshunkoya, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Dele Afolabi, wife of the chairman and Chairperson of the council, Mrs. Florence AbdulHamed Salawu, and Mrs. Mariam Omotanwa Salau.
Others also present were the immediate past chairman of the council, Hon. Gbolahan Bagostowe, the former Executive Secretary of the Somolu LG, Hon. Abiodun Orekoya, former Sole Administrator of the council, Hon. Willy Lawanson, the chairman of Apex leader Somolu Federal Constituency, Apostle Peter Oyewusi, Apex Leader.A Bakare and Apex leader Ademola Olisa. The councillors representing Ward B, C, G, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, Hon. Folarin Adegoke and Hon. Tunde James were also in attendance.
