The final burial ceremony of the founder and proprietress of Shewa Nursery and Primary school, Bariga, Lagos Snr. Rev. Apostle Mother (Dr.) F.I Odunuyi has been scheduled to hold on 28th January 2022
The Snr. Rev. Apostle Mother Odunuyi was a devoted Christian who breathed her last on Tuesday, 12th October 2021 at the age of 81 years.
According to the Pastor in charge of her church, Snr. Apostle Joshua Towolawi who revealed to our correspondent said that Snr. Rev. Apostle Mother Odunuyi was a philanthropist of high repute who had helped others to find either spiritual or financial solutions to their lingering problems.
He continued, “We thank God for a life well spent and talking about Iya Shewa, the late Snr. Rev. Apostle Mother Odunuyi was a devoted Christian who had touched lives in different ways; morally, financially physically, and spiritually. Very accommodating and caring mother she was especially in the area of tuition fees. She would specifically instruct the pupil(s) to stay back in the class and asked the parents to pay later in order not to miss lecture”.
In addition, she has also given out scholarships to students whose parents could not afford to continue to pay their fees and the rest is history”.
Iya Shewa, a renowned academic, had a stint with Bright Star Nursery and Primary School, Somolu between 1967-71 and rose to the position of headteacher after which she established Shewa Nursery and Primary School in 1971. Shewa Nursery and Primary school has since been one of the foremost schools in Lagos state churning our scholars and professionals who’re doing great in their respective fields to date.
She was also the founder of Mount of Peace Cherubim and Seraphim Church situated at Ogunbadejo Street, Somolu, Lagos where she worship alongside her faithful who cherished her tenacity in the Christiandom till she breathe her last.
Meanwhile, the Wake-Keep/lying in state will take place on Thursday 27th, 2022 at 37-41, Omo-Alade-Alafia street, Off Pedro Road, Bariga, Lagos. at 4 pm prompt.
The funeral service for the late educationist will be held on Friday 28th January 2022 at St. Michael Imole Otito C&S Church, at 32, Bankole Street, Famous Bus Stop, Somolu, Lagos at 10:00 am prompt.
while the entertainment of guests will take place at Grandeur Event center,17, Billings Way, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.
Iya Shewa, Snr. Rev. Apostle Mother (Dr.) F.I. Odunuyi will dearly be missed by her family and members of her church.
