Despite the early morning downpour on Saturday 26th June 2021, residents of Somolu and loyal party members of All Progressive Congress trooped out in their numbers to support the party chairmanship candidate, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ for the second term.
The mammoth crowd who all bears placards with different inscriptions singing the praises of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and some other notable party stakeholders in the state for ensuring Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu returned for the second term.
Addressing the crowd at Agunbiade Primary School playground, the Lagos state House of Assembly member representing Somolu constituency 1, Hon. Rotimi Olowo thanked the party leaders, members, traders, artisans, and all other stakeholders for ensuring the people’s choice clinched the ticket for the position despite attacks and provocations from aggrieved party members.

“To me, I believe that in Somolu today, of all the political elected hierarchy, myself and Hon. Abdulhamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ are the most visible and hard-working championing the cause of our people whether in the morning or in the night. When they call on us, we’re always on the ground meeting their demands at different times. I think we have been doing that”.

“But to my surprise, some of the party leaders and rented protesters went to the state House to castigate the leadership of Hon. Abdulhamed Salawu and myself calling us all sorts of names but we try as much as we can to eschew violence because violence is not the best option and we can not descend so low to that extent”.
“But personally I have been saddled with the responsibility of taking care of my constituents for the past 14 years and I don’t think I have done anything to renegade on those campaign promises”.
“Although we’ve done our best, we know our best may not be enough but we can still do better”. he stated
In his closing remarks, Olowo admonished the residents and party loyalists to come out en-mass to vote for the people’s choice, Hon. Abdulhamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ come July 24th, 2021.
