About 1000 beneficiaries of the Senator Tokunbo Abiru COVID-19 Relief Financial Assistance in the 98 wards of the 16 Local Council areas in the Lagos East Senatorial district today received direct credit in their respective bank accounts.
Senator Abiru further expands the number of beneficiaries to accommodate additional 170 vulnerable individuals in the district.
The assistance scheme that kicked off in January 2021 is the fulfilment of the promise made by the Senator during the electioneering to provide succour to the poorest of the poor in the district.
Selected beneficiaries have been getting N5000 assistance bimonthly (i.e once in two months) since the beginning of the year and it will run through the year by way of direct credit to their bank accounts.
Senator Tokunbo Abiru is keeping faith with his promise to always prioritize policies and legislative agenda that will be of benefit to the greatest number of people.
Senator Abiru also urges members of the All Progressives Congress, APC across the Lagos East Senatorial to ensure peace during local government primary elections on Saturday.
The Senator appealed to party members to eschew conducts that could lead to violence during the exercise.
