The Senator representing Lagos East senatorial District at Green Chamber, Senator Tokunbo Mukhail Abiru has congratulated the Christian faithful on the occasion of the Easter celebration.
Abiru in his message to his constituents described the life and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ as a key foundation of the Christian faith and a seal of hope for believers as he joined all the Christian faithful in our district to celebrate this year’s Easter.
He discussed further, “This solemn commemoration of the Lord Jesus Christ’s death and glorious resurrection should renew our resolve to live in harmony and show tolerance to people of other faith”.
“As the Holy Scripture instructs us to, ‘ Follow peace with all men…”, I enjoin our Christian brothers and sisters in Lagos East Senatorial District to strengthen the cord of national unity and peaceful coexistence.
“I also enjoin us to continue to pray for God’s interventions in the state of affairs of our dear nation. The challenges daunting but not insurmountable if we earnestly cry out to God”.
Abiru in his closing remarks prayed for the blessings of Easter to continue to abide with the people of Lagos East this season and beyond. Ameen.
