A Lagos lawyer and founder of Ameh Golden Real Foundation (AGRF), Mrs. Ameh Betty has revealed that no room for perpetrators of sexual abuse as the Lagos state government now has zero-tolerance for offenders of such heinous act 14 years jail term await such evildoers.
The child advocator made this declaration in Lagos at a 2-day seminar organized by Cerebral Int’l schools, Ishawo, Ikorodu, Lagos tagged “Sexual Abuse by the Educator”.
Briefing the media men at the event, she said the management of the school, Cerebral Int’l school saw the need to enlighten the students and guide against such act either by the tutors or someone else which she claimed was rampant around the school community.
“Frankly speaking, from the programme so far, I believe the students are more enlightened and should able enlighten others in the community and when they see these signs in respect of such abuse, they’ll be able to guide against it and prevent sexual abuse by whoever offers such”.
“One thing is clear here, when oil soil one finger, it will definitely affect others and that I see as the impact of the seminar on the students”.
Ameh, however, enjoined the victim to speak up when such happened so that the law can take its full cause knowing fully well that there’s no way the offenders will go Scott-free as the state government frown at such an act.
