I would’ve bequeathed a lasting legacy in Somolu community If I had won the chairmanship elections-CEO, Jackal Ventures

The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Jackal Ventures who also double as the Chairman, Somolu People Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Niyi Osibemekun popularly known as Jackal has revealed that, had he won the chairmanship elections on the platform of Action Congress (AD) in 2003 and under People Democratic Party of Nigeria (PDP) in 2011, he would have bequeathed a legacy that’ll last the test of time in the Somolu community which he claimed was sabotaged twice.

He made this known to Somolu Newspaper recently where he averred that if he had won any of the chairmanship elections in the past years, housing and employment would no doubt remained the priorities of his administration as these aforementioned have remained mirage that has been begging for attention in the last couple of years.

“Truth be told, you can attest to the fact that when I was the Regional Chief Accountant at Panalpina and as well running Jackal Ventures, I engaged quite a numbers of Somolu graduates who are willing to work. The record is there and has already gotten the template to work with”. he asserted

He continued, “Aside from engaging the graduates, Skill Acquisition Center has been arranged as part of the projects to be established to create room for non-graduate which will go a long way in reducing the rate of unemployment and as well reduce the crime rate to a bearest minimum”.

“And don’t forget that when a man has a means of livelihood and comfortable place to put his head, the rest is secondary”.

“And talking about housing deficit in the community, plots of lands have been earmarked for acquisition where housing units will be built to cushion the effect of unavailability of houses for the common man in the community. Once all these are put in place, every other thing will fall into their normal places and the rest is history”.

“What people are going through in recent times is unexplainable. Houses are being sold on a daily basis, foreigners are taking over our land and our people are being thrown out, leaving them with no options than to move elsewhere”. he lamented

“The rate at which rents are being increased is another challenge that is so disheartening and must be looked into”.

In the same vein, the Real Estate magnate urged the youth in the community to go after the profession close to their heart, remain focus and self-reliant in order for them to achieve their target goals in life.
