..Hon. Kuye urges the participants not to see their participation in the training as an accident but rather a blessing
Beneficiaries of ICT Acquisition Programme initiated by House of Representatives Member representing Somolu Constituency at the National Assembly Abuja, Hon. Aliu Ademorin Kuye have poured encomium on the Hon. Kuye for deeming it fit to initiate the laudable programme at the time when such is needed most.
The 2-day event tagged “Train the trainers” which was held on 11th and 12th of December, 2020 paraded participants across the wards in Somolu Federal constituency which have beneficiaries singing to the high heaven as they were given free-laptops to aid their day-to-day activities in their chosen endeavour.
In his keynote address, Hon. Kuye revealed that his joy is to always look back and see his people grow and perform extraordinarily well in their various endeavours, converting knowledge and skills acquired during my tenure to great wealth in and outside this Constituency.
He continued, “Before assuming office, I commenced this through individual empowerments and Educational support, by giving Free NECO/WAEC and JAMB forms to our children and youth. I am also glad to inform you all that some of the students who benefited from my Free JAMB and SSCE forms are already admitted in various higher institutions”.
“My administration has within this first 16months empowered hundreds of Artisans, Widows, Youths, Teachers etc. Just last week, at Ayinke Primary School, I was able to facilitate the supply of;
- 600 copies of Mathematics Text Books for Primary 1-6 students, 1b. 600 copies of English Text Books for Primary 1-6 students, published by Marvelous Mike
- 52 copies of Phonics Rite Path textbooks
- 52 copies of The Spelling Champion textbook
- 51 copies of The Heritage Text Book
- 1 ‘4 drawers’ steel cabinet
- 58 pieces of pupil furniture

“Also, the construction of 12 classrooms are ongoing at a Primary School here in Somolu with a VIP toilet and some other ongoing programmes and projects that cannot be mentioned here due to time”.
“Remember, what you learn here today will make you an authority, and a means to make wealth. Do not see your participation in this training as an accident, rather a blessing, if you are focused. For businessmen and women amongst you, you should be able to turn ideas and Information into wealth which is the essence of working in life.
“For you students, this is an avenue for you to step up, this kind of training may look common to you, but I am frankly telling here that it is very important and unusual, it is very weighty as it has the Federal Government backing. Researching, thesis writing and doing your assignments will not be a headache anymore. Remember, as a student, you can also be creative and turn ideas into wealth. The more reason you should all be attentive and ready to learn”.
“I want to on this note, appreciate the Federal Government for approving this wonderful project as I promise once again that my constituents would not take these opportunities we are enjoying in this President Muhammad Buhari and Professor YemiOsinbajo’s regime for granted. We shall continue to support the government in line with the constitution and within and humble capabilities”.
In his conclusion, Hon. Kuye charged the participants of the ICT training programme to ensure they listen attentively and learn everything they will be taught at the programme, jot down notes and also write down questions in case of some unclear area.
In quick response, one of the beneficiaries, Oklans Adebisi who could not hide his feelings said the initiative will reduce youths’ unemployment that has made society more violent than productive while he appreciated Hon. Ademorin Kuye’s foresight and pro-activeness in envisaging a brighter future for the youths in Somolu/Bariga on his consistent empowerment program such as the just concluded “Train the Trainers” which primarily is to equip youths in Somolu/Bariga for self-development, capacity building and to be self-employed.
“The scheme, no doubt will accord the participants with sophisticated devices such as laptops to go into the labour market and be established with ICT skills. It is an act that is highly applaudable”.
“Hon. Kuye is a selfless leader who we can be described as someone who brings and offers the right machinery to his people to have confidence in themselves and independently tackle their inner beings to be prosperous and productive to themselves and their immediate environment”.
Another participant who also benefitted from the programme, Hussain Tijani Abiodun described the ICT skill acquisition as a life-changing programme that will impact positively on the life of the youths in the constituency.
“We are indeed overwhelmed by the event as it’s not only loaded but also turned out to be a life-changing program for us. We’ll transfer the skill gained to other youths of the constituency and ensure they (if not all) become computer literate”.
“Sir, history will never forget your dedication, versatility, generosity, and selflessness since the beginning of your career, grassroots, and especially in the Green Chamber. Since inception and representation at the Green Chamber, first-timers are expected to be learners and improve in years to come at the chambers but our own MHR has proven everyone wrong within a short period of time in office”.
In the same vein, Comrade Folahan Kaiyewu never hesitates to shower praises on Hon. Kuye, MHR describing him as a leader of all leaders, a mentor par excellence, and an indefatigable agent of transformation for making another history in Somolu Federal Constituency.
“It gladdens my heart to express our profound gratitude to our true representative and indeed delighted to have you represent us at this crucial time when representation demands dedication, versatility & outstanding performance. It’s quite commendable to note that you have just spent one and a half years in office, with so many achievements”.
Comrade Kayewu however, prayed to God to continue to uphold him and let the Heavenly Light be his guide in all he does.
