The Hon. member representing Somolu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abuja, Hon. Ademorin Aliu Kuye has described the death of Lagos Senator Sikiru Bayo Osinowo as a great loss to the good people of Ijebuland and Lagos State as a whole.
Hon. Kuye is the Baba Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu “Kuye”, describing the death of the Lagos Senator Bayo Osinowo as a person lost to him. “I am sad! I lost a personal person to the cold hand of death this afternoon. But there is nothing one could do to stop the will of the Almighty Allah”.
“The death of my brother, friend, political associates and leader, the Senator who represented Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Bayo Osinowo who died today, Monday, is a person lost to me. Even the skies are grieving his loss. We will miss him terribly”.
Giwa Alhaji Suraju Lasisi (Giwa Azury) has also commiserated with the family of the senator, who died at a hospital in Lagos this afternoon at the age of 64 years.
Giwa Azury also condoled with the government and people of Lagos State, particularly the good people of Lagos East Senatorial District over the sad loss of the senator.
Azury, in a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary of Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu “Kuye”, Yori Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo described the senator’s demise as shocking and a great loss to the people of Ijebuland, Ogun state and Nigeria in general.
The statement further read, “On behalf of the entire members of Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu “Kuye”, let me pass our deepest condolences on the recent passing away of a legendary, Distinguished Senator Sikiru Bayo Osinowo, fondly called Peperrito, the Senator who represented Lagos East Senatorial District, Lagos State. The Senator will always be remembered as a great man, a dogged fighter, philanthropist, an icon and astute politician of high repute verified by many people around him.
May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace and give his family the strength to overcome this great loss……”
