EID-el-Kabir: Giwa Obayori felicitates with Awujale, members and muslim faithful

Giwa Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu “Kuye”, Giwa Alhaji Suraju Lasisi has felicitated with Alaiyeluwa Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Members and the Muslim faithful on the occasion of 2020 Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

Giwa Azury has fondly called, in a message released to the press by the Publicity Secretary of the Egbe, Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo, felicitated with Kabiesi, Alaiyeluwa Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, prayed for long life in sound health for the monarch. He said, may God Almighty, the Creator of all, bless Kabiesi and his family with good health, protection and give Orisa Ijebu more strength to lead his people for more prosperous years.

Giwa also congratulated the entire members of Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu (Kuye) and the Muslim faithful. He calls for celebration and prayer for the country to overcome the global novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Giwa Azury, who also described the Eid-el-Kabir festivity as a lesson in obedience to Allah’s command had proved by Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) of his devotion to Allah, described as remembering of Ibrahim’s loyalty and obedience to Allah above all others. And because of Ibrahim’s actions, Eid-el-Adha is also known as the Festival of Sacrifice.

While conveying this reflective pleasure to everyone, I urge all members of Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu (Kuye) to keep going the prevailing peaceful coexistence, social harmony, friendly understanding, civility, mutual recognition and sacrifice within ourselves as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.

Giwa Suraju further urged his members and Nigerians to continue to obey the COVID-19 pandemic protocols so as to stop the spread of the deadly virus.

However, Giwa Alhaji Suraju Lasisi has pronounced the approval of the Giwa-In-Council, the appointment of new chiefs. The following people and their respective offices were as follows:

(1) Yori Adewale Francis Adeoye– “Aare Egbe”

(2) Yori Kazeem Alakija — “Otun-Balogun Egbe”.

(3) Yori Kabiru Olatunde Salami — “Asoju-Giwa Egbe” In America.

PROFILE OF THE NEW CHIEFS!

(1) Aare Adewale Francis Adeoye.
He was born on 4th August 1978 into the family of Adeoye-Are of Awa-Ijebu in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

★He attended St. Williams Primary School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, where he obtained First School Leaving Certificate.

★He was admitted into St. Theresa Seminary Oke-Are, Ibadan,

★And later proceeded to the Prestigious Wesley Junior College of Science, Ibadan where he obtained his Secondary Scool Certificate.

★Aare Adewale Francis Adeoye gained admission into The Nigerian Premier University, The University of Ibadan (UI), where he studied Engineering and graduated with First Class Grade Point.

A philosopher, Edmond Mbiaka has once said and I quote, “The quest for knowledge never ends; it just leads to more curiosities that lead to a greater mind”. This has been the inspirational philosophy of Aare Adewale’s quest for knowledge. This led him to;
★Robert Gordon University, UK and Texas A&M University USA for Post Graduate studies, where he bagged M.Sc and MBA.

Over the years, he has been trained in Nigeria and around the world on various aspects of Leadership,
Workplace Conflict Management and occupational health and safety (OHS).

Aare Adewale is a member of the following organizations;

★A Paul Harris Fellow of The Rotary International.
