Super Falcons defender Osinachi Ohale has said she chose to sign for AS Roma because of so many things about the Italian outfit.
The Falcon has joined Roma following her exit from Tacón, now Real Madrid, where she spent last season playing in the Spanish top-flight league.
Ohale’s arrival at the club will bolster their defensive ranks after the departures of Federica Di Crisco and Petronella Ekroth over the summer.
The experienced defender who is a four-time AWCON winner with Nigeria said she wants to explore new things that why she chose the Italian club.
“I chose Roma because of so many things; so many amazing things about the club, about this city and this country that interested me,” Ohale told asroma.com.
“I felt like it would be a great thing for me, to explore and to experience new things and a new challenge.”
The 28 years old becomes the third signing for the Giallorosse, after Paloma Lazaro and Rachele ahead of the 2020-21 football season.
She becomes the first Nigerian woman to test her strength in the Serie A Femminile, though, she has played club football in USA and Sweden.
Capped 26 times for her country, Ohale has turned out for Nigeria Women Football League sides Rivers Angels and Delta Queens earlier in her career.
