The Chairman of Somolu Local Government has continued to demonstrate commitment to grassroots infrastructure development as the administration led by Hon. AbdulLateef Ashimi commences the interlocking phase of reconstruction works on Abimbola Lane in Ward E.
The latest development follows the successful renewal of drainage channels and the even grading of the road, key preparatory stages aimed at ensuring durability and proper water management within the area.
With these foundational works completed, the project has advanced to the interlocking phase, signalling significant progress toward delivering a motorable, flood-resistant road network.
Residents of Abimbola Lane have expressed optimism as visible transformation continues, noting that the project will greatly improve accessibility and overall living conditions within the community.
Meanwhile, the Supervisor for Works and Infrastructure, Abdul-Kabir Raji, confirmed that residents in the area have been cooperative with construction workers. He emphasised that such collaboration is essential to ensuring the smooth and timely completion of the project.
The Ashimi-led administration has consistently prioritised infrastructure renewal across wards in Somolu, aligning with its broader agenda of sustainable urban development and improved quality of life for residents.
