Somolu LG Chief of Staff Hon. Dele Afolabi loses mother

Tributes have started rolling in to sympathize with Hon. Ayodele Samson Afolabi (Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Somolu LG, Hon. Abdul Ahmed Salawudeen Dullar) on the demise of his caring mother, Madam Alice Afolabi (Mama Eleelo) who passed-on on Monday, April 20, 2020, at the age of 85 in the ancient city of Ibadan.

According to Alhaji Hakeem Anifowoshe, a close ally of the Chief of Staff, Madam Alice Afolabi will be greatly missed for her care and prayers for her children, grandchildren and their friends alike.

Meanwhile, on his @dullarism Twitter and Instagram handles, Hon. Abdul Ahmed Salawudeen (the Executive Chairman of Somolu LG) was quick to pen an emotional condolence message saying “We lost a mother whose love has no bound for everyone around her and her children, Madam Alice Afolabi, mother of my Chief of Staff, Hon. Ayodele Samson Afolabi (JP). May God grant her eternal rest and grant the family fortitude of unbearable loss. Rest on, Iya Dele Eleelo!”

According to the Chairperson of Somolu Local Government, Mrs Mariam Omotanwa Salawu, the Chief of Staff has lost a dear and confidential friend in a mother. “I pray Hon. Ayodele Afolabi overcome this loss in a very short time”, the Chairperson said.

Iya Eleelo as fondly called will be greatly missed by friends, family, children and grandchildren. It’s our prayer that God forgive her shortcomings and give the fortitude to bear the loss.

Mrs Maryam Owolabi Bada, Somolu Lagos Assembly aspirant and a staunch member of All Progressive Congress (APC) never hesitate to join the roll call of sympathizers describing late Mrs Alice Afolabi as a worthy mother, disciplinarian and epitome of womanhood. “It’s my prayer that God will grant her eternal rest and forgive her misdeed”.

Somolu All Progressive Congress (APC) and some other prominent personalities in and around are not left out sympathizing with Hon. Dele Afolabi on the demise of his mother.
