It’s no longer news that when it comes to giving back the community, the Lagos House of Assembly member representing Somolu constituency 1, Hon. Rotimi Olowo is one of the grassroots political bigwigs to be reckoned with.
The lawmaker in his milk of kindness a few days ago gifted one of his loyalists and party faithful, Mr. Sunday Akinboyeku a.k.a Baba Oba an automobile, Toyota Camry as a way of appreciating his unflinching support without rancour.
The beneficiary, Baba Oba was surprised when the car was delivered to his house and was called to receive the car’s key with family and neighbours rushing out in their numbers to catch the glimpse of the presentation while other wells-wishers keep calling to congratulate him.
Akinboyeku in appreciation remarks overwhelmingly heaped encomium on his benefactor for such a wonderful gift and pray to God to continue to guide and bless him in all ramifications.
Regardless of the fact that Hon. Rotimi Olowo is a lawmaker, his philanthropic gesture is second to none. He has touch lives in different ways and manners which makes him people’s choice anytime any day. The market women, artisans, the vulnerable and older people in the community can testify to this, and the records are there.
However, this is not the first time Hon. Rotimi Olowo will be giving out or exhibiting such a lofty idea of rewarding hardworking and loyal party members which has become his lifestyle thereby becoming a household name in the Somolu/Bariga community where he pitched his tent.
This singular gesture has earned him different acronyms such as ‘Olowo t’onfowo saanu’, ‘Low class gang’, ‘Alaanu awon mekunnu’, ‘Olumoko 1’, ‘Four Star General’ and the list goes on.
