BOGOTA’, March 22, 2020 – Argentinian ace Paulo Dybala of Juventus is the latest football player to test positive to Coronavirus. During the previous days, teammates Rugani and Matuidi had given a positive outcome after being tested by the medical staff. “Dybala resulted asymptomatic and is feeling good, however, he is living self-isolated according to the medical procedures” announced the Italian team. Dybala published a message on the social media to alleviate fans’ concerns: “My fiancee Oriana and I are in perfect conditions”, he posted on Instagram.
Another case is the Colombian cyclist Fernando Gaviria, a current member of the UAE Professional Team UAE Team Emirates. Gaviria, who tested positive for ‘coronavirus’ during the Emirates Tour, is recovering satisfactorily. On the other hand, the Mexican Mariana Arceo, classified Olympic of pentathlon has the virus, is being treated and is stable.

The New Providence Basketball Association, through its President James Price, announced that the postseason, which was to continue this Saturday and was pending due to the dispute of the semifinal matches, has been suspended.

The PGA -Professional Golfers’ Association Championship, the second ‘Major’ of the season scheduled to take place in San Francisco, United States, from May 11th to 17th has been postponed and is expected to be held this summer.
GREENLAND
Greenland authorities confirmed earlier this week their first case of a person infected with the coronavirus. Facing this first case, Greenland has provisionally closed its borders as a measure to prevent infected people to enter the island and to avoid the spread of the virus. This island has about 56 million people living on approximately two million square kilometres.
MEXICO
The National Federations and the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sport -CONADE- decided in an emergency meeting to keep the national teams that go to the Olympic Games at the National Center for the Development of Sports Talents and High Performance -CNAR- to train behind closed doors until the quarantine is over.
In addition, all national competitions and camps and travels to international events are postponed.
It was officially reported that Mariana Arceo, an Olympic pentathlon athlete, has a ‘coronavirus’, the athlete is currently stable and gradually improving after a complication of pneumonia.
The Baseball Preseason Games have been postponed, so far it is set to resume on May 11th 2020.
Tennis also had the cancellation of its tournaments, the Mexico City Open that would be played from March 30th to April 5th and the Zapopan Open that had to be held this week.
