Somolu LG Mayor, Hon. Dullar engages Alade family, appreciates the representatives for mutual cooperation

In his efforts to re-develop the popular Alade market in Somolu into a modern market, Hon. Abdul Hameed Salawu held a round table discussion with Alade-Bamgbala Family representatives recently.

The exclusive market matters meeting was anchored by Hon. Rasak Tajudeen, Special Adviser on Market Matters. Representing the Alade descendants, Alhaji Jimoh Alade, Chief Lateef Alade and Chief Sekiu Alade are among family members present at the meeting.

According to Alhaji Jamiu Alade, the approach of the Mayor is amiable and the development of Alade Market into a modern one is timely as the market is a registered market that has been serving Somolu and its environs for over five decades. He further stated that they are ready for the development of the market which will further elongate the good name of their father, Alhaji Sanusi Alade. According to Chief Sekiu Alade (Secretary to the family), the development of the market is having a headway due to the new approach of the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu.

According to Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu who was accompanied to the meeting by Hon. Yomi Osunkoya, Hon. Mike Oikeh, Hon. Ayodele Afolabi and Hon. Adewale Oseni; the Mayor stated that he really appreciate the cooperation of the Alade family whose has done so much for Somolu as a community, despite owning the land, they are ready for the development. In the meeting well attended by the property developers and their lawyer, the family also agree that structures of the market don’t befit this age, time and area.
