The surprise visit provided an opportunity for the council chairman to reconnect with the institution that played a significant role in his academic journey while strengthening ties between the local government and the foremost tertiary institution.
During the visit, Hon. Ashimi was received by the Rector of YABATECH, Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul, alongside the Head of the Department of Statistics, Temitope Alakija, the Council Affairs Deputy Registrar, Salmon Saeed, and other members of the institution’s management team.
The management commended the chairman for what they described as his progressive and people-oriented leadership in Somolu Local Government, applauding the achievements recorded during his first year in office.
They also described Hon. Ashimi as an outstanding ambassador of YABATECH whose performance in public service reflects the values of excellence, integrity and leadership instilled by the institution.
