Somolu Chairman, Ashimi joins LSPHCB policy dialogue to strengthen primary healthcare

The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Lateef Ashimi, joined his colleagues from the Conference-57 Chairmen at a landmark policy dialogue organized by the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board (LSPHCB).
This crucial session served as a strategic platform for local government heads and state officials to deliberate on the future of grassroots healthcare. Key areas of focus included operational functionality, funding and resource allocation, accountability, and challenge mitigation.
This stakeholder forum represents a significant step toward reforming healthcare infrastructure, not only within Somolu but across Lagos State.
Chairman Ashimi reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to the health of his people, emphasising that a healthy community is a productive one.
“A durable primary healthcare system is the bedrock of a thriving community. Aside our frequent healthcare interventions and the monthly separate funds of ₦3 million we have set aside to cater to vulnerable residents, our administration remains steadfast in its commitment to breaking new ground and ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible to every resident of Somolu,” he said.
Today’s dialogue exemplified a unified front among local leaders to elevate the standard of living through intentional, policy-driven health reforms.
