In a significant legal victory and a boost to democratic governance, the Lagos State Election Tribunal has affirmed Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada as the duly elected Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA).

The ruling, delivered on September 15, 2025, at the Lagos State High Court, Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) Annex, Onikan, brought an end to months of legal uncertainty surrounding the July 12th local government election. The tribunal’s decision upholds the legitimacy of Princess Bada’s electoral victory, effectively validating the will of the people.

Supporters and political stakeholders have lauded the judgment as a win for justice, transparency, and the democratic process. Many see the outcome as a clear endorsement of Princess Bada’s leadership style and commitment to grassroots development.

Reacting to the verdict, Princess Bada expressed gratitude and extended an olive branch to all, urging residents and political actors alike to come together for the progress of Ikosi-Isheri.

“This is not just a personal victory,” she said. “It is a triumph for our community. Now is the time to set aside differences and work collectively for sustainable development.”

With her mandate now solidified, expectations are high that she will continue to pursue community-driven projects aimed at improving infrastructure, youth empowerment, and public welfare within the LCDA. Her administration has already been recognized for its energetic approach to development, and the tribunal’s ruling is likely to serve as a springboard for further achievements.

As she resumes her leadership with renewed confidence, Princess Bada remains focused on delivering a transformative agenda that prioritizes the needs and aspirations of her constituents.
