The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon Abdul-Hamed Salawu Dullar was showered with awards of different categories at the Nigeria Grassroots Governance Summit and Awards held at the Providence Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Recognizing the outstanding achievement of Hon. Dullar, the organizers of the Summit, Hope For The Masses Foundation, headed by Tomisin Badewole described the Chairman as an exemplary Public Officer worthy of emulation, considering the array of his sterling performances that are touching and long-lasting that cut across a major sector of governance, which earned him the Distinguished Public Service Award.
As if Somolu Local Government was the only local government, sooner than later, the Chairman was announced as the Best in Road Infrastructure giving credence to the over sixty roads being constructed with interlocking paving stone and laced with Streetlights and other road accessories.
While the jubilation was still going on, another award as the Most Disability Friendly Chairman Award was announced making the Awards four in a roll and this sealed the celebration of Hon. Dullar as the most Awarded Chairman at the Nigeria Grassroots Governance Summit and Awards.
The Awards were presented by HRM, Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola, the Olowu of Owu kingdom in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and Hon. Adedamola Kasumu, the Deputy Majority Leader of Lagos State House of Assembly.
