Magodo residence of the late Equal Right Restaurant CEO, Alhaja Mrs. Olusola Wulemotu Salawu was a sight to behold as family members, friends, political and business associates not leaving out well-wishers who were all present at the one-year anniversary of the late Food mogul who passed away on February 28th, 2022 at the ripped age of 72.
The anniversary which was heralded with a special prayer session by the Islamic clerics from nooks and crannies of the Lagos metropolis led by Alhaji Sulamon Mujahiludeen Olafimihan described the special prayer session according to Islamic injunction as a necessary move to seek Allah’s forgiveness for her misdeed while on earth.
He continued, “Mama while alive was a good example of a good woman who accommodated young and old which led to her crafting her business name as Equal Right Restaurant reflecting the equality of everyone and that’s the reason why we gathered here today to supplicate to Allah on her behalf for Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant Aljanah fridaus.”
Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Somolu local government in his statement described her mother as a wonderful, Godly, and caring personality who cares so much about her family and people around her irrespective of their background and colour.
“If I have the opportunity of choosing mother in my next life, I’ll not make a mistake of choosing anyone except her because she was such a caring and accommodating with a heart of GOLD, a God-fearing and persevering personality who served humanity in her own little way.” He posited.
In the same vein, one of the daughters of the deceased, Hon. Mariam Omotanwa Salau also revealed what her mother stood for as she described her as a mother in a million, her gist partner, a kind-hearted and mother for a nation who was always there for everyone who crossed her path.
“My mother is a mother in a million, my gist partner, a kind-hearted mother for a nation who was always there for everyone who crossed her path and if you ask anyone who knows her, they’ll have one or two good things to say about her. I miss her so much!
Present at the anniversary include the former Sole Administrator of Somolu local government; Hon. Bamidele Williams Lawanson, the Chairman of the Revenue Board; Hon.
