Lady Worker Union of St’ Andrew’s Anglican Church, Okepopo in Ifelodun LCDA, Lagos Island area of the state on Saturday 22nd of October, 2022 rolled out drums in celebration of the 30th anniversary of its establishment.
Speaking during the free medical check-up session, one of the personnel who anchored the programme, Hon. Mrs. Maryam Omotanwa Salau admonished the patients to always go to Public Health Centre (PHCs) in their area for medical check-ups either monthly or quarterly to ascertain the level of their health status which she said will go a long way in saving lives when and where necessary.
“Hence, we must always ensure we go for medical check-ups and administer the drugs given as prescribed by the medical doctors. Self-prescription is as dangerous as anything one can think of.” She posited.
Meanwhile, Dr. Demola Gureje was on ground to enlighten dental patients on how to go about brushing their teeth on daily basis without damaging their gum and so many other challenges that have to do with their teeth were sorted out.
In a similar manner, the Coordinator of the Medical Mission, Dr. Chris Akinwale in his submission poured encomium on the organizer while he admonished the members and residents to look after their health stating that there’s nothing more important than having good health and that paying more attention to one’s health is as good as being wealthy.
