Somolu APC Stalwart congratulates Orekoya for clinching LAHA ticket, pledges support

A top shot of Somolu All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Adebola Shoga has congratulated the former Executive Secretary of Somolu local government, Hon. Abiodun Orekoya for clinching the party ticket as the flagbearer for Lagos State House of Assembly representing Somolu constituency I come 2023 election.

According to the leader of the party at the ward level, Baba Shoga who spoke with SomoluNews correspondent during his 78th birthday celebration recently at his Aiyepe Avenue abode described Orekoya as a seasoned and accomplished politician who has grown through ranks and file in leadership and governance and as well understands the nitty-gritty of the game.

He continued, “Apart from the fact that Orekoya is from my ward, (the Elephant Ward E), he remains a political colossus who commands respect from the low and mighty owing to his honesty and integrity coupled with his good leadership trait.” He enthused.

“No doubt about the fact that he will not only become a good lawmaker when given the mandate and as well represent the good people of Somolu without partial but also inspire a good number of our youth to achieve their target goal with his visionary leadership and purpose.”

The Octogenarian and former Ward E candidate, however, promised to do everything possible within his reach to ensure Hon. Biodun Orekoya’s emergence as the sole winner comes to fruition bearing in mind that his emergence will be an added advantage to his people in ward E while calling on the artisans, academics, religious leaders, community leaders, and all others to come out en-mass and vote for APC candidates when the elections start in earnest.

In his closing remarks, he urged the youth to shun electoral violence and other social vices, and remain committed while waiting for their turn because clinching the mantle of power in politics is turn-by-turn.
