The numbers of aspirants vying for the Lagos state House of Assembly (Somolu Constituency 1) seat keep soaring each passing day as former Somolu local government Sole Administrator, Hon. Williams Bamidele Lawanson (a.k.a Willy Osha) declared his intention to be part of the aspirants contesting for the ticket for the All Progressive Congress (APC) sole candidate for the post.
The tall and lanky politician who spoke with Somolu News recently said he will leave no stone unturned to ensure he gets the ticket to represent his people at the Lagos state House of Assembly owing to his political pedigree.
Speaking further, the former Supervisory Councillor reiterated his commitment towards ensuring he better a lot of his constituents if given the ticket, especially in the area of youth unemployment and unrest that has plagued our community in recent times.
He continued, “As a legislator, I will lobby the governor of the state to put in place a policy of the government that’ll create an enabling environment for more job creation which will go a long way in addressing the challenges of unemployment”.
“Honestly, job creation is not what I can do, it’s only the executive governor of the state that can either create a job or employ, I’m just a legislator and what we do is to make law and that’s not to say that I will not try my best where and when necessary”.
“And as for me, I will continue from where Hon. Rotimi Olowo stopped. I can only try my best. Hon. Olowo has performed wonderfully well that no one can match his achievements even in 8 years. Whoever that boasts of achieving that feat is lying”. He claimed

Olowo Rotimi Emmanuel and the executive chairman of Somolu local government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ for their unblemished stewardships in the last few years at the helms of affairs.
“These guys are fantastic, in terms of good health care delivery, quality Education, good road networks and not leaving out the welfare of the elderly ones, they’re never found wanting and I can only continue to pray to God bless them with good health, wisdom, and knowledge to be able to render service to their people’.
