Lagos State Local Government Service Commission pays familiarization visit to Bariga LCDA

The members of Lagos State Local Government Service Commission on Tuesday, April, 20th, 2021 visited Bariga Local Council on a familiarization tour, the tour was basically to meet with the senior council officials.

The Honourable Kamal Bayewu led commission met with the Council-Manager, Council Treasurer, Heads of various Departments, and the NULGE Chairman in Bariga.

Hon Kolade Alabi, the Chairman of Bariga Local Council welcomed the commissioners and thank them for choosing Bariga as their first point of call in Lagos, he eulogized them, saying he knows every one of them as men of integrity.

Furthermore, the ALGON president thanked the entire staff of Bariga, whom he referred to as the Bariga winning team, he commended them for the wonderful job they are doing in the council and assured them that they’ve got a deal that cannot be faulted with this set of commissioners and prayed for God’s guidance for them to discharge their duties effectively and appropriately.

The Chairman of the Commission, Hon Kamal Bayewu, in his address thanked the staff for their support, informed them that the commission members’ purpose of the visit was to familiarize with the staff, know their areas of challenge, and to profer solution, stating that the commission will be one that will be close to the workforce, assuring them of another visit to see the entire staff.

The commissioner representing Ikorodu division, Engr. Biodun Orekoya in his remark said Bariga staff are lucky to have Alabi as their Chairman, and he is sure their welfare is being taken care of if the information at their disposal is anything to go by. He appreciated the chairman of the commission, P.S, directors, and the staff of Bariga.

The five members of the commission namely Kamal Baiyewu (chairman), Taofeek Adaranijo, Ahmed Seriki, Biodun Orekoya, and Akeem Bamgbola were present at the event.

The Council staff in attendance consists of the Council-Manager, Mrs. Adenike Owolabi, Mr. Samuel Apata- Council treasurer, all heads of departments, and Comrade Eke Opeyemi- NULGE Chairman were in attendance.
