The council Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. AbdulHamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ has commiserated with the family of Somolu/Bariga Federal Constituency leader, Hon. Alhaji Moshood Osiyemi who passed on 4th April 2021 at the age of 79.
Dullar made this statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Hon. Oseni Owolabi Ajimomuiya describing the death of the democrat and fatherly leader as a great loss to the family and the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC).
“The news of the death of a great politician who has distinguished himself to be a democrat and fatherly leader and politician with a special interest in humanity, ALHAJI CHIEF MOSHOOD ADEGBOYEGA OSHIYEMI, the Chairman of APC Apex Leaders in Somolu-Bariga. This is a painful exit of a political, family and community coach, Oshy”.
“This is yet another great loss to us in Somolu, Lagos East, Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole. Until his death, Alhaji Chief Moshod Adegboyega Osiyemi was a prominent progressive leader of the All Progressives Congress family”.
It is sad that death took him away when his efforts in uniting the progressive political family in Somolu and Bariga is yielding positive results for APC at our grassroots.
Also, the lawmaker representing Somolu Constituency1, at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Olowo has extended his deepest sympathies and condolences to the Apex leader, Somolu federal constituency, government and the good people of Somolu Local Government over the death of Alhaji Adegboyega Moshood Oshiyemi.
Hon. Olowo who expressed sadness when he learnt of the unfortunate and tragic news, described the death of the former Apex leader in Somolu/Bariga as a great loss to the community. He stated that the late pa Oshiyemi was a complete leader, distinguished politician and a lover of peace who until his death dedicated all his time and efforts to the progress and development of our great party and community as a whole.
Hon. Olowo prayed to God to comfort the family he left behind and grant his soul eternal rest.
In the same vein, the Executive Chairman of Bariga Local Development Council Area and the President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Hon. David Kolade Alabi also penned a condolent message commiserating with Osiyemi’s family and Somolu/Bariga All Progressive Congress (APC)
“It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Alhaji Moshood Adegboyega Oshiyemi, the erstwhile leader and Apex leader of our great party. Alhaji Oshiyemi contributed positively to the development of our party while alive, and will be greatly missed by the party”.
“On behalf of my family, excos, legislators and party faithful, I send our deepest condolences to Alhaji Oshiyemi’s family, political associates, friends and loved ones. At this difficult time, I urge them to take solace in the lasting legacies of the former party leader”.
They, however, prayed to Allah to forgive him his sins, grant him Aljana Firdaus and comfort all members of his family.
