Lagos East Senatorial bye-election: Somolu APC inaugurates Local Organizing Committees (LOC’s)

In respect to the forthcoming Lagos East Senatorial Bye-Election coming on October 31st, as stipulated by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, following the demise of the late Hon. Adebayo Sikiru Osinowo.
The All Progressive Congress, APC Party in Somolu Local Government took a proactive step in inaugurating their Local Organizing Committees, who are to synergized and induce appropriate tactical plans for the flag bearer of the party, Mr. Tokunbo Abiru ahead of the bye-election.
At the inauguration, Hon. Femi Taiwo (Somolu APC Chairman), Pastor Peter Oyewusi (Somolu Apex Leader), Hon. Williams Lawanson (Former Sole Administrator, Somolu Local Government) and Chief Adedapo Oduguwa (Somolu CDC chairman) alongside other Somolu Apex Leaders, apprised the committees to work with maximum cooperation, in ensuring the party’s candidate, Mr. Tokunbo Abiru emerged victorious above all odds.
Meanwhile, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu (Executive Chairman, Somolu Local Government and Director of Security Affairs, APC Campaign Committee) appealed to the entire members and leaders of the progressive folds, to boycott political deviation at this present time, making it known that the task at hand is apparently for the benefits of the general populace, especially in Lagos East.
He also affirmed the credible status of the prolific flag bearer, stressing his presence at the red chamber would be of positive impacts and substantial development in moving the nation forward.
At the Somolu Local Government Banquet Hall, as filled to the brim with the strenuous members of the party, including Hon. Yomi Osunkoya (Leader of the House) and other esteemed Legislators, Ogbeni Taiwo Adesanya (Secretary to the Local Government), Hon. Gbolahan Bagostowe (Former Executive Chairman, Somolu Local Government), Hon. Mike Oikeh (Former Education Secretary, Somolu LGEA), Pastor Adefalujo Olisa, and Alhaji F. O. Bakare (Somolu Apex Leaders), Hon. Jimi Olarenwaju (Chair of Chair of the APC Ward Chairmen), Hon. Mariam Salawu (Chairperson), Hon. Afolabi Ayodele (Chief of Staff), Supervisory Councillors, and SAs/SSAs.
The list of committees pronounced by Hon. Femi Taiwo are below:
All past and present Council Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen, Executive Secretaries, Sole Administrators, Councillors, Supervisory Councillors, Secretaries to the Local Government, and APC LGA Executives.
The list also includes current APC Ward Executives, Somolu Apex Leaders, CDC Chairman, Market Leaders (Iya Oloja and Baba Oloja), Chairman of Artisans, Leader of Igbo Community, Leader of Arewa Community, Leader of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Leader of the Muslim Community, Leader of the Special People and Media Team.
The five(5) man media team for the LOC are, CPS Owolabi Oseni (Ajimomuya), Wasiu A. Badaru (IjebuChemist), Segun Kazeem (Segepol), Dayo Saula and Onikoyi Wasiu.
At the closing remark, Hon. Bowale Sosimi (Vice Chairman, Somolu Local Government), while appreciating the progressive members, buttressed more on the objectives of the program and couldn’t halt to express his satisfaction over the level of commitment, as showcased by the entire members during the proceedings.
Furthermore, he wished the progressive family success in the upcoming October 31 bye-election.
